Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily are the five regions affected by a decree signed in the past few hours by the Minister of Economic Development, Stefano Patuanelli, who regulates the terms and conditions for granting and granting concessions for SMEs and business networks for investments under the plan Company 4.0.
The objective of the initiative is to support the digital transformation of businesses by exploiting innovative technologies, as well as to favor the transition to the circular economy. The financial allocation provided by the measure amounts to a total of 265 million euros, of which a quarter is reserved for micro businesses and small businesses.
The beneficiaries of the facilitations provided are SMEs and business networks which, at the date of application, are regularly constituted and registered in the business register and have not carried out a relocation to the production unit in the previous two years. object of the investment. In the same way, the commitment must be guaranteed not to relocate up to 2 years after completion of the investment.
One of the strengths of the decree lies in the fact that it is also addressed to freelancers. The planned investments must not last more than one year and the amount of eligible expenses must not exceed 3 million euros, the plants, equipment and machinery thus purchased must be used in production units located in the previously mentioned regions.
The operating methods with which to submit applications for access to the facilities are not yet known and will be defined through subsequent measures by the MiSE, once received they will be evaluated and managed by Invitalia (the National Agency for the attraction of investments and development company) through the counter procedure.
