Paola Pisano, current Councilor for Innovation of the Municipality of Turin, will be the new Minister of Technological Innovation and Digitization. Unfortunately even in this case it will be a Ministry without a portfolio, which means that Pisano will not have a direct role in managing the economic resources that will remain under the control of the Ministry of Finance.
Professor of Innovation Management at the University of Turin, Pisano presents a particularly interesting curriculum that also includes a Master Degree in Economics and Business Administration it's a Master of Management in Business Administration. In his favor there are also about seventy international publications on topics related to innovation and business models.
The new Minister is also the author of a book entitled "Managing innovation: creating, managing and spreading innovation in relational systems"and can boast several academic positions including those of Director of the Multidisciplinary Technological Innovation Center of the University of Turin and President of the Companies Committee of the Department of Computer Science at the same university.
Pisano's work experiences include collaborations with 3partner, the ESCP EUROPE Business School, the A&G consulting company and the COMIT Bank of the Piedmontese capital. As far as the political career is concerned, we would like to mention his renunciation of presenting himself as a candidate for the M5S at the last European elections.
For three years, alongside Chiara Appendino, Mayor of Turin, she has been the protagonist of some important initiatives in terms of innovation, for example, the city was the first in Italy to conduct tests on autonomous driving in an urban environment. During his Turin councilor he also hosted Europe's largest drone show.
